Nov 04, 2015  Now, our all users are using Outlook Web App to send/receive emails. We had taken the backup of contacts of all users in CSV format from old hosted server. Now, users are looking for their contacts on Outlook Web App. Can anyone suggest how to import that old contact to Outlook Web App. Please help me as it is very crucial for me. How can the answer be improved? The Outlook Web App is a non-desktop version of Outlook. Outlook is part of the Microsoft Office suite and allows Microsoft users access to their email, contacts, calendars, tasks, and Office.

As part of its Exchange Server, Microsoft provides a Web access application that allows users to utilize Outlook features from anywhere with an Internet connection and a Web browser. Although the Web app doesn't allow you to import data such as comma-separated values or CSV files, you can still import this type of file into an Outlook Web access calendar by using the standard Outlook application. The imported calendar items will then appear in the Outlook Web calendar where you can further edit them.

Click 'File' in the upper left corner of the application window. Select 'Import and Export' from the drop-down menu.

Click 'Import from another program' in the drop-down menu. Click 'Next.'

Select 'Comma Separated Values' from the list that appears and click 'Next.'

Click 'Browse' at the bottom of the Import screen. Use the dialog box that opens to navigate to the location where your CSV calendar file is saved. Select the file and click 'Next.'

Scroll down the folder list if needed until the 'Calendar' folder appears. Highlight this folder, click 'Next,' and then click 'Finish' when Outlook tells you it is done importing.

Log in to your Microsoft Outlook Web application. If you don't know the Web address, obtain it from your administrator.

Open the Calendar feature in the Microsoft Web application to access the CSV calendar that you just imported.
